A FLANC DE FALAISE _ portrait
The A FLANC DE FALAISE series of lighting equipment is extracted from the quarry, combined with the strictness of geometry and free expression of materials, and draws its graphic language. The light shoots out from the cracks, passes through the stone, and orients freely as the stone rotates. The exterior treatment of brass echoes the broken appearance of stone.
Maxime Bellaunay
Maxime Bellaunay questioned the state of objects and put raw materials at the core of his research. By establishing a dialogue between form and material, he developed a method and turned it into creation.
He travels with materials with him; by studying the environment around the rocks, he immerses himself in the landscape and masters how to shape the landscape. Their geological, human and cultural origins are all inspirations in the development of meaningful objects.
