The judging committee of the Kyoto Global Design Awards is made up of top experts in each field, including design, art and culture, and fashion. Entries are reviewed from every angle with an emphasis on lifestyle and human nature. Judges look for designs that influence an entire field and lead to new creative or business collaboration possibilities.
Every Kyoto Global Design Awards laureates underwent an extensive committee review process. Winners are chosen through a series of reviews and assessments that look at their trend-setting ability and influence from various angles.
TREND DESIGN OF WINNERS
The concept of unisex and interchangeability between the genders is the main focus of Setchu’s branding.
Over the past few seasons, in our space we have been striving to create a style by drawing inspiration from "the last Italian subculture", namely the Cosmic Scene - Cosmica - of the early 1980s. Cosmica was based on the concept of dance as a shared experience.
For the 2024 Spring-Summer Collection, we draw inspiration from the captivating aura of women working in offices, particularly the charisma of professional women.
Utilizing Seivson's iconic details such as cutouts that reveal the skin, deconstruction elements, and layered designs, we incorporate the essence of "Office Secret" into various items, ranging from tailored suits and trench coats to lingerie.
Knitwear for human beings
This is a model that utilizes the unique feel of the vinyl umbrella's material. It features a distinctive design that evokes the history of discarded materials.
Aurora borealis, the Northern Lights, is a phenomenon that can only be seen in some of the world's quietest, darkest, and most remote places. The fact that they shine brightest in dark and barren places is symbolic of a love that grows stronger in the face of suffering and adversity.
This collection is inspired by my exploration of societal phenomenon amongst the black community called 'Black Tax.

The HY CLUTCH, including its hinge, closure clasp and interior pocket, are entirely 3D printed using solar power. Its complex design is inspired by natural hymenium lamella structures and can only be created using additive manufacturing, resulting in a bag consisting of 3,626 layers.
