Campari Design. The objects (and brand new glasses) inspired by Campari Soda

Campari Design takes its audience on a captivating journey through a series of design objects inspired by the iconic Campari Soda bottle, initially designed in 1932 by the Futurist painter and illustrator Fortunato Depero. This timeless and influential object has served as a remarkable source of inspiration for artists and designers for over 90 years.

The design of the Campari Soda bottle is characterized by a simple yet elegant form—a truncated cone resembling an inverted goblet. This classic design continues to be used today, even after nine decades, as the preferred vessel for serving the famous Milanese aperitif. Its unmistakable charm has led numerous designers associated with Campari to feature it in various projects and special editions.

One notable example of the Campari Design's impact is the Campari Light chandelier by Ingo Maurer. This captivating creation incorporates original Campari bottles to form an extraordinary lampshade, exuding a radiant "Campari red" ambiance that illuminates surrounding spaces.

The latest addition to the Campari Design series is the #SenzaEtichette capsule eyewear collection. In partnership with Ottomila by Retrosuperfuture, a renowned sunglasses brand, Campari Soda launched this exclusive collection on July 10, 2023. The sunglasses draw inspiration from the texture and colors of the iconic aperitif brand and are available in three distinctive designs: Stinger Campari Soda Red, crafted from laser-engraved crystal acetate in a bright red hue with black lenses; Stinger Campari Soda Black, featuring black semi-transparent acetate with red-colored lenses; and Stinger Campari Soda Crystal, made from semi-transparent crystal acetate with red-colored lenses. Each pair is meticulously handmade in Italy, epitomizing the essence of Campari Design.

Alessi, another renowned Italian design brand, has also collaborated with Campari on a fascinating project, spearheaded by designer Giulio Iachetti. Two captivating objects embodying the Campari Design philosophy have been brought to life by Iachetti for Alessi. The first is "Cirifletto," a steel table mirror that cleverly creates an illusion of expanding space, symbolically expanding the boundaries of the company. This innovative mirror is the first of its kind produced by Alessi, utilizing the renowned reflective steel of the Piedmontese brand. The second object is "Senzabuio," a lamp designed to accompany the aperitif experience with its enchanting illumination.

These remarkable Alessi-Campari items were previewed during the Milan Design Week 2022 at the Alessi showroom, located at via Manzoni 14/16. They are available for pre-order during the design week and will be officially available for purchase from autumn 2022 on Mohd—both online and at the showroom in via Turati, 3 in Milan.

Furthermore, the collaboration with Fabrica, the communication research center founded by Luciano Benetton and Oliviero Toscani, resulted in the vibrant #senzaetichette collection, specially designed for young creatives under 25 from around the world. The #withoutlabels series showcases a range of objects embodying the Campari Design style, all adorned with the iconic "Red Campari" color.

Some of the noteworthy products in the #withoutlabels collection include the post-it #senzaparole and the #maipiùsenza bag, the fan #senzapensi and the bottle holder #senzaice (perfect for carrying your Campari Soda with you at all times). Additionally, the #senzafiltri mirror and the #senzafili wireless speaker add a touch of elegance and practicality to any space. Completing the collection are the #no-appointment calendar and the #noprecedent tiles, offering a unique way to "furnish" your kitchen without adhering to conventional etiquettes.

The entire proceeds from the sale of Campari's #withoutlabels collection contribute to supporting workshops and conferences, aiding the growth and development of young residents at Fabrica in their journey of artistic exploration and professional advancement. This collaboration not only celebrates outstanding design but also fosters a spirit of creativity and empowerment for aspiring talents worldwide.
